The label stands for two terms that characterize the qualities of this piece of software.

As the core (german Kern) of a project, Khairn contains all you need to achieve your project's aims.

At the same time, Khairn will be your cairn (a hiking trail signpost made of stones), providing you with fitting processes and structures.

Like the english noun "cairn".

GPL, like Drupal.
Khairn will be packaged as a Drupal installation profile.

"Requirement Driven Project Management" centers all project management processes on the requirements.

Requirements (also: User Stories) are aligned with the customer and approved by them.

After that, all project management tasks will be linked to their related requirement: Tasks, bugs, documentation, specification, tests, change requests, approvals.
